I am a Proud owner of the ASUS EEE PC! Purchased it over the weekend and is still ecstatic about it! You see, I didn’t have a hard time adjusting to it since my Old laptop was also from Asus. The only major difference is that the Operating System of this (sub)laptop is Linux and not Windows.

Things I love about the ASUS EEE PC are as follows (in no particular order):

1. Light (920 gm) and Small (225/165/35 mm)
2. Linux OS (Yes, I’ve used windows all my life so this is quite exciting for me)
3. Camera and Mic - Nothing special about them but at least they are built-in
4. Battery Charger (For a change, it’s something similar to our Mobile Phone Chargers)
5. Very Portable - You can just slip it your bag or carry it around with no hassle.

Plans for the Year 2008

I have finally laid out my Year 2008 Plans. But sad to say, I won’t be developing websites anymore. It takes so much of my time and I figured I should focus more on Designing Wordpress Themes. Strike while the iron is hot indeed!

Although I do not see a decrease in demand for WP Themes anytime soon. I am doing this to maintain an established list of clients and a huge number of designs I can showcase on my portfolio.

My work has given direction to my life. Career-wise, I’ll work on getting myself certified for Php Programming, Flash Designing, Networking and C++ Programming so I can take the Microsoft Certified Professional Exam in Manila (yeah all Ama’ers at any point on their lives are qualified to take this exam spearheaded by Microsoft officials themselves). A lot of my friends don’t have guts to do this (except Joseph and maybe Mon?), but I am willing to be a Guinea Pig for this. What do I have to lose? I’ve never failed an exam, and if this be the first time I’m going to.. hey it’s Microsoft dude, Lol! That’s the spirit! Haha.

It’s a great year ahead, that I must say!

The Horror of Taking a Break

I had to take a break during the weekend so I emailed all my clients that I won’t be around to answer emails, questions or queries on projects they have given me to work on.

So I did take a break. In fact I had so much fun having to spend 2 days of not worrying about anything at all.

When I got home, the first thing I did was to check my email. 14 work related email messages, 5 queries/comments on my website, 10 personal messages, and 3 emails asking assistance on my Wp Themes.

I had to stay up until midnight to fix those issues and answering all of those messages and had to wake up at 2 am to start working on some of them already.

Mind you, that was just for 2 days. OH MY! LOL!

Anyway, I am currently working on a Customized Wordpress Theme as of the moment. It’s for eWedding Talk. Though I haven’t finalized the project yet, you can check it out.

Updated Portfolio

I had to update my portfolio. I didn’t include projects I did in the past. Everything that I listed are my designs since March 2007. I’m surprised that I have done a lot. Have also improved a mile when it comes to my design style.

I’ve also been pushing myself to make at least one design a day. Inspiration doesn’t always come. But I am taking it as a method of practicing and enhancing my skills. Even if I just end up trashing it later on.

Which reminds me, I have to work on my Resume too (the one you see on the site is a broken link since I haven’t worked on it yet). But I’m really not looking for any jobs at the moment. I’m too occupied.
