Apple recently released MacBook Air claiming to be “The World’s Thinnest Laptop” but do you also remember Intel’s Mobile Metro as “The Thinnest Laptop ever”?
Intel claims that their thinnest laptop would only be an inch thicker than (the cellphone) Motorola Razr . Would be .7 inches thick and would weigh just 2.25 lbs. It’s best feature would include charging the laptop wirelessly.
On the other hand, MacBook Air is approximately .75 inches thick and weighs about 3 lbs. Current selling price is at $1799
Which of the two would you vote for?

I am a Proud owner of the ASUS EEE PC! Purchased it over the weekend and is still ecstatic about it! You see, I didn’t have a hard time adjusting to it since my Old laptop was also from Asus. The only major difference is that the Operating System of this (sub)laptop is Linux and not Windows.
Things I love about the ASUS EEE PC are as follows (in no particular order):
- Light (920 gm) and Small (225/165/35 mm)
- Linux OS (Yes, I’ve used windows all my life so this is quite exciting for me)
- Camera and Mic - Nothing special about them but at least they are built-in
- Battery Charger (For a change, it’s something similar to our Mobile Phone Chargers)
- Very Portable - You can just slip it your bag or carry it around with no hassle.
