1. Encourage your Readers to Comment - Leave a question at the end of your post, this will tell your Readers that you are also interested in what they have to say about the topic. Sometimes, it gets too boring when your visitors would just say “Nice Post!” over and over.
2. Offer Something for FREE - Write an e-book or create a useful tool that people can download on your site without having to pay for it. Better yet, start a contest and give away some really good prizes to those who have subscribed to your feed! It’s a win-win situation, your visitors get something and you get to increase your readership and your traffic.
3. Fresh Content - Make sure to always update your site. Not just for Google’s sake but for your readers to always have something new to read each time they visit.
4. Use a Great Theme for your site - If possible, invest for a Customized Theme and make your site design stand-out! If you’re using a Free Theme then simply do some serious tweaking to try and personalize it.
5. Social Bookmarking - SU and del.icio.us can do wonders in generating targeted traffic to your website. Make sure your site is listed in the right category with its appropriate tags. Then submit your best articles on digg and once it gets to the front page, prepare to experience glorious digg effect.
6. Make a 404 error page for your site - The inner pages of your website gets indexed by search engines and if you rename or delete them you will be losing prospective visitors. You don’t want that to happen, right?
7. Return Comments - This is a good way to establish a good relationship with your readers. Try to know them by visiting their site and returning the gesture.
8. Show Related Posts in your Entries - If your visitor likes the article they are reading, this will stir their interest on the topic and having your related posts visible, they would most likely want for more.
9. Proofread your Entries - Don’t publish your post without editing it or reading through it again. Check for spelling and grammar errors.
10. Make your own Top 10 List - and do make sure it’s worth reading!

Adsense Alternatives

Posted by ChiQ22nd, 2008 at 6: 23 am

While I do claim that I earn Money Online I am not earning through Adsense. Majority of my income comes from Wordpress Themes Development yet I also want to take advantage of earning a few more from my Site.

So today I was on a look out for Adsense Alternatives until my application with adsense will be approved.

  1. TextLinkAds - placing text links on your site, minimum payout of $25 on paypal. Also applied on their inLineTxt program which requires me to not participate on Reviewme and PayPerPost programs.
  2. Entology - much like adsense (i guess) with a minimum payout of $30 on paypal.

I will have an update post on this two Adsense Alternatives that I have chosen in a month of publishing them on my site.

Any other Alternative Programs you might want to recommend to me?

The Thinnest Laptop

Posted by ChiQ20th, 2008 at 4: 16 pm

Apple recently released MacBook Air claiming to be “The World’s Thinnest Laptop” but do you also remember Intel’s Mobile Metro as “The Thinnest Laptop ever”?

Intel claims that their thinnest laptop would only be an inch thicker than (the cellphone) Motorola Razr . Would be .7 inches thick and would weigh just 2.25 lbs. It’s best feature would include charging the laptop wirelessly.
On the other hand, MacBook Air is approximately .75 inches thick and weighs about 3 lbs. Current selling price is at $1799

Which of the two would you vote for?

ASUS EEE PC Proud Owner

Asus EEE PC

I am a Proud owner of the ASUS EEE PC! Purchased it over the weekend and is still ecstatic about it! You see, I didn’t have a hard time adjusting to it since my Old laptop was also from Asus. The only major difference is that the Operating System of this (sub)laptop is Linux and not Windows.

Things I love about the ASUS EEE PC are as follows (in no particular order):

  1. Light (920 gm) and Small (225/165/35 mm)
  2. Linux OS (Yes, I’ve used windows all my life so this is quite exciting for me)
  3. Camera and Mic - Nothing special about them but at least they are built-in
  4. Battery Charger (For a change, it’s something similar to our Mobile Phone Chargers)
  5. Very Portable - You can just slip it your bag or carry it around with no hassle.
